Vietnam Airlines will launch a non-stop, three-times-weekly
service between Hanoi and Milan next year.
Operating on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the new
service will commence on 1 July 2025 and be flown by Boeing 787 Dreamliner
aircraft.
The airline already operates services from Hanoi and Ho Chi
Minh City to Paris, Frankfurt and London, with previously announced services also
taking off to/from Munich next month.
Vietnam is Italy’s largest trading nation in the ASEAN trade
region, while Italy is Vietnam’s fourth-largest trading partner in the EU.
The airline said the addition of Milan services signifies
its “commitment to expanding its global network … and fostering economic, social
and political ties” between Vietnam, Italy and Europe.
Vietnam Airlines currently operates 100 routes to 21
domestic and 29 international destinations.
