Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars, marking the group’s ninth hotel in the city and its 14th property in the UK.
Formerly the Crowne Plaza London - The City, the 204-room hotel is housed in a grade II listed building on the former grounds of King Henry VIII’s Bridewell Palace in the heart of the city.
Along with three food and beverage concepts, including a bistro, Chinese dim sum restaurant and 1920s-inspired bar (pictured), the property features two medium-sized meetings and events spaces with capacity for up to 150 people and a 24-hour fitness centre.
In the last five years, Hyatt has increased its brand presence in the UK from five to 13 properties, with six in London. Following the recently opened Hyatt Regency London Albert Embankment, the group also plans to debut the Park Hyatt London River Thames in the Nine Elms development in the first quarter of 2024 as part of its “evolving” brand portfolio in the UK.
Additional hotels include Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, Great Scotland Yard Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Andaz London Liverpool Street, Hyatt Place London City East, Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport and Hyatt Regency London Stratford and Hyatt House London Stratford.
